The SAFER Islands — Bense, Little Bense, Cliff, and Bradley — are found in the western Falkland Islands. These beautiful subantarctic gems include the ecologically pristine Cliff and Bradley, which have never been modified by human activity. The two larger islands, Bense and Little Bense, are slowly recovering from a variety of challenges, including grazing, fire, erosion, and invasive species. Together, these islands share a compelling story of ecological restoration, wildlife resilience, and stunning natural diversity.

Bense Island is the largest and most modified of the parcel.
Little Bense Island
Little Bense Island has sea lions and sandy beaches.
Cliff Island
Cliff Island is ecologically pristine.
Bradley Islet
The smallest of the SAFER Islands at less than 1 acre.
